Junior Fair Dairy Showmanship

This event showcases the talents of youth participating in the dairy project and takes place in the Farm Progress Arena. Participants compete in registered and grade classes, alternating by age, starting with spring calves and following a fixed breed rotation. Youth demonstrate their knowledge of dairy education and compete for various showmanship awards, including top production, somatic cell count, and protein production. The friendships formed at this event often last a lifetime, and the knowledge and leadership skills gained help develop these individuals into outstanding future professionals.
